Two Chase business cards with no annual fee, a personal guarantee and a foreign transaction fee. Ink Business Cash pays elevated cash back in set categories with caps and 1% elsewhere, while Ink Business Unlimited pays about 1.5% on every business purchase.
Pick the Ink Business Cash if…
A large share of spending goes to office supply stores, internet, cable and phone, gas or restaurants.
You'll watch the category caps and switch cards once you reach them.
You know Chase's 5/24 rule can apply to the application.
Pick the Ink Business Unlimited if…
Your business spending is varied and doesn't cluster in a few categories.
You want one flat rate with no caps to monitor.
Plain cash back is all you need for now.
Bottom line
Look over last year's statements: if a few categories dominate, the Cash card fits; if not, the Unlimited keeps things simple. Neither suits purchases made abroad, and current rates are worth confirming with the issuer.
