Same miles family, two fee tiers. Venture has a fee in the $1–$99 band and earns miles on every purchase, while Venture X costs $250+, earns around 2x miles everywhere and adds anniversary miles, a travel credit and lounge-style perks. Neither charges a foreign transaction fee.

Pick the Capital One Venture if…

  • You want simple travel earn without paying a premium fee.
  • Your credit is good; our data lists Venture X for excellent credit only.
  • You can live without lifestyle credits.

Pick the Capital One Venture X if…

  • You'll book through Capital One Travel, which the travel credit is often tied to.
  • Lounge-style perks matter to you; current lounge terms: check the issuer.
  • You have excellent credit and will use the credits every year.

Bottom line
